Wild Bluebonnets...

First, I was on a run, so I didn't have enough time to find the best shot... these are quick snaps... but I finally found some wild bluebonnets to photograph for you...
and they were so perfectly set against a rundown farm house too...

I think this last shot may be the best...

  2. Great pictures! I agree, the best is the last one. How long will they last?

  3. Pudgeduck - Bluebonnets are bienials and have a long blooming season... They be blooming through April and at least the first part of May, into June if we have a wet year. They then produce seeds that will sprought in the late fall, grow all winter and bloom next year.

  5. What lovely flowers!

Phennig looks a beautiful cat. Is that the type of willow with all the wiggly stems?

  6. Phoenix C - That curly willow started as one of those twisted branches in a floral arrangement. It grew roots and I planted it outside. It's not supposed to grow here, it's a northern tree...
