Passiflora incarnata

Today, the Passionflower decided to open it's first bud... I left the vines up on the fence last fall rather than trimming them up. Consequently, I've got flowers much earlier than usual... of course, I'll probably have this thing rampaging all over this summer, completely out of control, but some plants I'll put up with that...

  3. you're lucky that the vine could possibly rampage. Passion Flower vines need to be planted in shade here--not much of that stuff around--so I do without. Sure would like one though!

  4. Sounds good having a beautiful plant like that rampage!

I like to have climbers run quite wild, and mingle - I've got clematis, honeysuckle and ivy together on a fence. I need to make sure the ivy doesn't take over, but they look great in a big unruly mass!
