This year we are having assign absolute plague of toads. Or, as they're called in Texas, toad frogs. Last night, I walked outside to find no less than 8 of the obnoxious little amphibians on the front porch. Actually, they're kinda cute.

But they did inspire me too write a proposal for the Syfy channel. " Texas chainsaw zombie toad apocalypse' I'd give a synopsis, but the title is pretty self explanatory actually...

  1. Every time I see a toad I think of Wind in the Willows and Mr. Toad driving his motor car. "Poop-poop! Vrooom!" We had an explosion of frogs after this past weekend. While we were gone on our trip, almost 9 inches of rain fell. We had not had any rain for almost a month, so it was most welcome. The soil is mostly sand here, and it's not long before dryness sets in. Poor frogs will have to bury themselves in the mud (such as it is) again.

  2. When I was in 4th grade, we went to Disneyworld. It was impossible to walk to our hotel room without stepping on little frogs and/or toads as they were so thick on the walkways...shudder.
