Let it sit for 2 to 4 weeks then pot it up,it should show roots in another month. A branch that is cut at both ends, at least a foot long, but 2 or 3 feet is more common can be laid flat on the ground, maybe half buried. Any part touching the ground will sprout roots, any part exposed top the Sun will sprout stems.
